We have 40 notifications of occupational asthma with acrylates as a possible cause on Shield since 1989. The most common jobs are assemblers (6), Gluers (4), Theatre nurse/healthcare worker/anaesthetic practitioner/operating dept assistant (5), Dentist/dental technicians/dental nurse (3). The Theatre Nurse had a positive challenge to bone cement (methylmethacrylate).
