Abstract

Exposure to swine dust during a few hours work in a swine confinement building induced bronchial hyperresponsiveness in all (n = 6) of the healthy subjects studied. Bronchoalveolar lavage revealed an inflammatory reaction after exposure, and the cellular response was characterized by a hundredfold increase in neutrophils
