First cross-sectional study of 3D printers showing asthma, rhinitis and skin symptoms |

3D printing involved exposure to the fumes from heated ABS, nylon or polyacetic acid. There have been case reports of occupational asthma and hypersensitivity pneumonitis, this is the first epidemiological survey of exposed workers (without controls) suggesting that respiratory and skin problems may be common.
