Moulds, ethanolamines and chloramine-T identified as causes of occupational asthma in cleaners
The Finnish Institute of Occupational Health reported all the 20 cleaners with positive specific challenge tests between 1994 and 2004. 11 were due to moulds, mainly Aspergillus fumigatus, and 9 to chemicals, mainly ethanolamins. Interestingly there were no chlorine releasing agents identified
