Deleting Patients and Records
You can remove patients and records from your patient details file. This can be useful if you have entered the same patient twice, for example.

To start, click on "Tools - Delete Patients and Records" and a new window will be shown.

The left hand side shows all the patients in your patient details file. Tick each patient that you wish to remove. You may want to scroll the box to the right to see the date of birth. When you tick a patient all the records for that patient are automatically ticked as well. A message will pop up telling you about this. You can manually untick these records later but without the patient Oasys will not let you open them, so you will only need to do this if you have ticked the wrong patient by mistake.

The right hand side shows all the serial peak flow records in your patient details file. Tick each record that you wish to remove. You may want to scroll right to see the start and end dates of the records. If you tick all the records for a patient the patient will automatically be ticked as well. You can manually untick the patient if you require. You will still be able to create new records and enter audit / clinical details for the patient.

The screenshot below shows this window. A patient has just been ticked and a message is being shown saying that the patients records have also been ticked.



Once all the patients and records that you wish to remove are ticked click on "Remove Ticked Patients and Records". A new confirmation window will be shown just displaying the patients and records that will be deleted. Please check these carefully!



Once you have checked that the patients and records are the ones that you wish to delete click on "Remove Ticked Patients and Records". You will not be able to undo this change.
