No personal details are ever sent to or stored on the Oasys Server.
Oasys saves all personal details in a file on the users computer. This file is very important, without it all of a users data will be meaningless, so it is very important that you back this up.
Oasys can backup these files on the Oasys Server, but cannot read the personal details. In order for the Oasys Server to remain anonymous this data is encrypted using 128 bit Rijndael encryption. When a user backs up the file they must supply an encryption phrase.
As long as no one finds or guesses the phrase, the encrypted data can never be deciphered by anybody but the original user.
Users must supply a phrase that is extremely hard to guess, bearing in mind that a computer can make thousands of guesses every second.
Oasys insists the phrase contain at least one number, one capital and one lower case letter (available on an English language keyboard).
