Occupational asthma from Ozone
Are there any reports of ozone as a cause of occupational or work related asthma?

It is usually thought that ozone acts as a potentiator for asthma, rather than as a cause. There is one case report of occupational asthma due to ozone (Lee HS, Wang YT, Tan KT 1989 Singapore Medical Journal 30:485-7). The patient was testing television tubes after high voltage charging which caused electric arc discharges. The ozone levels were 0.04 ppm (TLV 0.1ppm) at his work station. The paper documents occupational asthma by serial measurements of peak expiratory flow. The cause is attributed to ozone by the failure to find other possible causes in the workers vicinity.
