Occupational asthma from pesticides

My husband worked with pesticides (including Lindane) for nearly 20 years. He began to get wheezy and short of breath a couple of years before he was finished by his company. Now he's diagnosed with Asthma & COPD. Can we prove it's Occupational Asthma, and if so, how? Thanks for any advice.
