Health risk from builders dust
My seven year old son suffers from mild asthma. In November last year my landlord jack hammered the 20 year old kitchen floor ( 5 hours of jack hammering) he did not cover any of the areas and left the unit (2 bdrm) without removing any of the dust. We had visible airborne dust throughout the unit for more than a week. My son suffered a severe attack and I had to house him at other friends houses for nine days until the dust had eased off. My son also had bad eczema on his buttocks (asmtha related - I believe).
I am taking my landlord to court to claim for loss of amenity and damages to my property. He is stating that there was no health risk to myself or my two children. Do you have any information that I could put forward in relation to this.
I Thank you in anticipation,
Jo Ryan

Exposure to building dust is a common complaint from asthmatics. If you are wanting something to use in court you will need an opinion from somebody who specialises in this (not easy or cheap)
