Health Hazards due to plastic burning

dear sir,
kindly provide us the detail information about the health hazards due to plastic burning.

thanking you
Occupational Asthma, Specialist, 2/20/2006, 2/20/2006,

There are several reports of occupational asthma from heated plasics, shrink wrappping and heat sealing without actual burning of the plastic. I have also seen a number of workers whose asthma has started when plastics have overheated, such as when injection moulding machines have jammed and caught fire. I hope the references help.

We currently have 23 notification on our Shield database for workers with possible occupational asthma from plastics. The causes range from plastic wrapping (i.e. heat selaed plastics) to burning plastics. Some of the jobs that these people do are roofers, packers, injection moulders and reprographic officer.
