Medical History

No childhood asthma, hay fever or eczema. Not particularly athletic at school, no respiratory time off. First symptoms aged 31. Itchy rash on back of hands. No rhinitis. Breathing worse with cold air, exercise, respiratory infections. No trouble with drinks, the dog at home, birds, analgesics, menstruation, grass pollen or vacuuming

Family history

Parents and one sibling, None have asthma. Two children, both of which have asthma

Smoking history

Lifelong non smoker

Treatment

Beclomethasone 1000 ug bd; salmeterol 50 ug bd; salbutamol 200 ug prn; Montelucast 10 mg daily
