The original authors' main conclusions are taken from Abstract, Results and
Discussion. They are decided upon by the authors of the BOHRF occupational
asthma guidelines and form part of the guidelines.
Between 1986 and 1993 the annual incidence of occupational asthma increased by 70% 227-386 (equally in men and women). Proportion of newly identified occupational asthma from all new cases of asthma was 4.8%, with over half attributed to farming and bakery work.
