Outdated paint fumes

Am I in any danger from painting with outdated paint and inhaling the fumes?

Occupational Asthma, Worker, 6/15/2006, 6/15/2006,

I am not an expert in this area, but believe that any problems of asthma from paints is unlikely to be any worse if the paint is out of date.
