BOHRF Original Authors' Main Conclusions

The original authors' main conclusions are taken from Abstract, Results and Discussion. They are decided upon by the authors of the BOHRF occupational asthma guidelines and form part of the guidelines.

A better outcome in occupational asthma induced by isocyanates was associated with early diagnosis and early removal from isocyanates after the onset of asthma. (Better outcome may also relate to the shorter latency of occupational asthma induced by isocyanates). Outcome at a mean of 1.9 years was significantly better in those with a mandatory health surveillance programme.
